Beat the Heat with a Flagstaff Retreat!

Whether it’s cranking up the AC, darting from the lab or office to the car, or dodging the relentless sun with bits of shade, those that brave the Phoenix heat need a break!

Our Flagstaff-area CAZACS members know this well, which is why your ACS Central Arizona local section has organized events over two days in Flagstaff. Take this opportunity to get out of the Valley of the Sun and meet ACS members that reside in Arizona’s high country!

I’m in the Phoenix area and need help getting to Flagstaff. Can you help?
We’ll help connect you with any volunteer carpoolers, but no promises. Contact if you’re interested.

I’m in the Phoenix area and I want to go, but I don’t want to drive up alone. Who can I talk to?
We’ll help connect you with any volunteer carpoolers, but no promises. Contact if you’re interested.

I’m already in Flagstaff. What’s in it for me?
You’ll have a lot of opportunities to meet fellow Flagstaff-based ACS members, and can meet Phoenix-based ACS members, too! Your CAZACS executive board and committee members will be at these events to chat about upcoming events, and will help you organize more Flagstaff CAZACS events to come!

How can I convince CAZACS to do more events in Flagstaff?
The Central Arizona local section includes more than 700 members covering a geographic more than 40,000 square miles. Like any ACS local section, our governance and committee members are all volunteers. It’s a big job, and we want to do it, but we need your help!
If you are interested in more involvement with CAZACS, we would love to talk to you about it during the retreat, or reach out to us via email using our contact form.
